The Chukchansi Indian Housing Authority (CIHA) is a Tribal Designated Housing Entity as designated by the Picayune Rancheria Tribal Council. The mission of the CIHA is to provide affordable homes in safe and healthy environments for tribal members.
CIHA has a number of immediate goals including:
• Acquire suitable land sites for housing development
• Develop adequate infrastructure to support the existing and projected housing needs
• Acquire housing stock through acquisition and or new construction
• Develop facilities, programs and services necessary to establish and support healthier and stronger communities
• Manage and operate all aspects of housing in a professional manner within the NAHASDA regulations and our budget
It is the intent of CIHA to leverage NAHASDA formula allocation dollars with public and private funding to acheive various goals including but not limited to the following tribal member support programs:
• Rental Assistance
• Relocation Assistance
• Rehabilitation Assistance
• Utility Assistance
